Habitat: Disturbed Ground, More Common on Eastern Slopes
Height: Up to 60 cm
Description: Look for this plant along roadsides and other disturbed ground. It is easily missed as it lacks any colourful flowers to grab the eye. It generally has an erect stem with alternate, linear, smooth-margined leaves. From the base of the leaves, a dense spike of flowers will emerge. The flowers are small, greenish-white, and drab. Later they are replaced by a reddish seeds.
