Description: This unique plant looks like a dwarf thistle, without the spines. It has a short, thick, densely leaved, hairy stem. The leaves are lanceolate in appearance, with periodic teeth. The purple flower-head is similar to that of a bull-thistle, without the thorny ball which underlies the thistle flower. It has a pleasant scent.
