Description: Smooth Fleabane is a common plant of moist, open sites. The stem may be hairy and the leaves are primarily basal. A few leaves grow along the stem, but get smaller as they ascend. The flowers are blue or pink (occassionally white), with 125-175 narrow ray florets. The flowers are 3-4 cm in diametre. There may be two or three flowers branching off of a single stem, unlike the similar showy fleabane which has only a single flower per stem.
