Description: This flower has linear, smooth-margined, alternate, clasping leaves. The leaves are between 5 and 10 cm in length. The five-petaled showy flowers occur in a dense terminal cluster, almost hidden within long leaves. The individual flowers are approximately 1 cm across, and yellow. They bloom in turn, beginning with the flowers at the bottom, moving upward until the final flowers bloom.
